Dr. Stephanie Cao is a California Board licensed optometrist, certified to treat and manage diseases of the eye with therapeutic pharmacological agents. She specializes in dry eye treatment and management. She is bilingual and fluent in Vietnamese.
Dr. Cao graduated from University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to graduate from Pacific University College of Optometry with a Doctorate of Optometry. She received extensive training at the Fresno VA Medical Center and San Diego Naval Medical Center providing care for active duty and veterans. At Davis Eyecare, she was trained under Dr. Robert Davis in specialty contact lenses, including sclerals, hybrids, and orthokeratology lenses. She then went on to train at Tayani Institute under ophthalmologists who specialized in oculoplastics, glaucoma, cornea, and retina.
During her time at Pacific University, she served as President of the Student Optometric Association. She is a member of the California Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Cao received her first pair of glasses in the fourth grade, sparking her dream of becoming an optometrist! She is originally from Chicago and Orange County and now resides in San Diego. When she is not seeing patients, you may find her baking, reading books, or spending time with her family.
